Great Grandpa's Obituary
Carl Henry Pyper 1926 ~ 2011 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather, and brother Carl Henry Pyper returned to the arms of his wife and sweetheart Tessie Jane Blain on February 23, 2011. They were married August 29, 1944 in Elko, Nevada and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He was the son of Carl and Vriesina Eggens Pyper. He is survived by; sons Carl Blain (Donna) Pyper, Lee (Lee Ann) Pyper, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; sister Jeanne Richins; sister-in-law Marge Pyper, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Tessie, children Brent, Randy and Jodie, siblings Alice, Henrietta and Jacob, and loving parents. Carl worked for Ballard Motor and Freed Motor, Salt Lake City, prior to serving in the US Army Signal Corp., World War II; 3164th Signal Service Co. He raised his family in southern California later retiring to Spring City, Utah. The family would like to thank Harmony and Gunnison Home Health Care providers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the old Spring City LDS Church, Spring City. Friends and family may call Monday February 28, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant, and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Spring City Church. Interment in the Spring City Cemetery.
