Living with PTSD

I was raped when i was ten years old by my best friends dad. A day does not go by that i am not reminded of him. The smell of his cologne, the look of his hair, the way he laughed, the way he cleared his throat, the feel of his hand. A stranger comes up to me and touches me, a man walks past me, a student in one of my classes. Things that shouldn't affect me do...more than you will ever understand. I have nightmares every night and wake up crying because of this man. I relive this every day of my life and no one cares. I feel like no one really understands the extent of how this affects me. I feel so alone because no one in my family cares and thinks i am just trying to get sympathy. I find it so difficult to even get up in the morning. I just feel like giving up someone please help me...

To Those Of You That Have Saved My Life

To those of you that have saved my life so many times over thank you. I would not be the person I am today without you. When I didn't want to move forward and thought that it was the end, you helped me see the light. I realized today just how precious life is. To these people i can never say thank you enough. I love you and I hope that I can make you proud with whoever i become.

There are so many others that I have to thank but these are those that I have to thank for my life. I just want you to know that I love you guys for all of little things that you don't even think about but that mean so much to me :) ❤

Amanda: You really have been my rock, the person I could always go to if i was feeling down. You understood and didn't judge. Thanks so much. :)

Grandma Maxine: There are no words to express how much you mean to me. You helped me when I was in my darkest place and you did something for me that noone had done before...Loved me unconditionally. I know i didn't say it often but i am eternally grateful for everything you ever did for me and you will always be the person that I will look up to. You are my hero.

Uncle Steven: You took me in and loved me when everything was wrong. You cared for me though it wasn't your responsibility. You are such a great uncle. I hope i can grow up to be like you.

Kemrey: You are my cousin but you mean so much more to me than that. I can tell you anything. We have the kind of relationship where i am so comfortable and i can trust you with anything :)
